Bright Start

It's march and currently 20 degrees, for north England this is amazing so best to make use of this early summer were having now because any money by July it will be pissing it down. I was inspired to try the midi length dress by this photograph on the satorialist, as soon as I saw this I wanted to re-reate the effortless effect it had, yes this is August last year, by that time english summer was well over but I never forgot that look, and when I came across a topshop number I snapped it up.

It was still winter when I bought this dress so I paired not with opaque tights and black ankle boots. Now I can finally release its summer potential ;). I'm wearing it with my ugg trainers I snapped up in the summer sales last year, and the most versatile ( and favourite atm) piece in my wardrobe, my calvin klein trench coat/dress, a pure bargain I picked up from tkmaxx last year for £40 ( I considered it an investment that really has payed off!)

I love these trainers they are so cute ^.^

My full outfit
Sunglasses: ray ban from eBay
Dress: topshop
Belt: hairband from topshop
Trainers: ugg
Trench/dress: Calvin Klein
Bag: asos

Soon I will do a post wearing this as a dress to show you how magic it really is! It is really easy to layer up, so much so I have just bought another summer jacket like this, although this one has no arms at all.

Hope your all enjoying this lovely weather just as much as I am, finally we can enjoy the sun... BARE LEGS.  Summer dressings is one of my favourite parts of fashion, i love being able to wear clothes to there full potential and be comfortable (without not freezing to death)

How do you wear midi lengths?

Please leave your pretty blogs in comments!

(wow two posts in two consecutive days- go me)

Black maxi

Weather is finally warming up, but this morning it was so foggy! I have been after a black maxi skirt for a while now, this is actually a dress, which is one sleeved, it was given to me by my ( very generous) friend! It's super tight and is made from nylon and getting dressed is basically like putting a pair of tights on all over your body!

I've layered it up here with a silk vintage shirt, given to me by my mam! I love the print on this shirt, it's like a really small leopard print and the colours go with anything summer or winter. It's buttons keep falling off so I usually fasten it to the top with my Vivienne Westwood pin badge.

The shoes you have seen before and the jacket is new from h&m and it's a lovely cropped little number for when you need to dress a bit cooler in the weather.

I just added a belt to give a bit of shape as the shirt is so loose and it ended up looking like an (unintentional) peplum top. Oh well, fine by me. I haven't tried the peplum trend yet and tbh I'm not sure if I will invest, have you?

My complete outfit
Dress as skirt: all saints
Shirt: vintage
Cropped blazer: hmm
Shoes: Melissa
Belt: asos

Let me know your thoughts on my look today, and if theres a different way you would wear something! As always leave your blogs as i will pay them a visit too!

Versace!

So here it (finally) is! My versace dress...
It has to be my most beautiful dress I have ever purchased <3 The first time I saw it back in October 2011 in Vogue, I knew I had to have it, The goregous Japanese print, (the fan is my favourite!)
I saw Marni and I was not impressed ( not enough to queue at half 5 in the morning anyways) So I gave that one a miss, I still stand by Versace's collaboration being the most exciting with hnm so far.. but that is probably cause I'm print crazy. ( As we already know)

The silk is super thick and it actually is a really warm dress! It looks a lot better minus tights (why do tights spoil everything? come on summer). This photos pretty old so it's looking a little frosty here ( which it isn't now- yay!)

One of the nice details about this dress is the back, its cut open which is beautiful! I love backless things and I think if i got a tattoo anywhere it would be either here or on my arm. :D

Im pretty sure you have seen this clutch before ( I'm after a new one, a big big clutch can use during the day (day time clutchs ftw)

My outft:
Dress: Versace for H&M
Clutch:ASOS
Shoes: Carvela

Just a short one today!

I have A trip to London & Cannes in May, so much to look forward too, exciting times!

Please leave your lovely blogs on your comments - Would love to see your purchase, and any London shopping tips!

Digital skirt

I'm back!

Aaaaand it's still winter in england >.< But hope comes in the form of acid bright jumpers and digital prints to bring a little bit of colour back into our lives. I love the length of this skirt, it's so easy, it should look a little longer but the wind messed it up (god it was windy)

As soon as I saw this skirt in Topshop I knew I had to have it, it's not often I find a print I'm that fond of that cheap. It reminds me slightly of the prints that come from Peter Pilotto and Matthew Williamson. What do you think?

My outfit:
Jesus, it's all from topshop,(minus the mulberry) the Jumper and shoes from the sale. (Oopsy) I forgot a decent part of my wardrobe actally comes from their sale then I go along saying how I hate how everyone buys from there and you all end up with the same thing!

Lets hope no one has this combo ;)

To finish on, Im searching for amazing affordable prints <3 Did i mention I love prints hahaha. Also. OMFG how did I not know about this Mary Katranzou dress its surely one to rival my Versace perchase? (Which I haven't even done a post on but here it is

That reminds me- I'll do my next post on that :)

So post a good few designers who have amazing prints if you know any, the more unusual the better! ( I found an amazing guy called Yosef Perez- Israel designer)
The usual with comments- leave all your lovely blogs I'll pay them a visit ^.^
Untill then!

Loopy Lexa

First of all, I know post has took a while, I'm not even going to begin to go into how busy I am. So this is THE Mulberry bag, THE mulberry bag that replaced having a iPad case.. it was ridiculously discounted (obviously) I think the RRP was something ridiculous like £900 or something and i got it for a mere (harhar) £265. I got it from the York Outlet ( which was why my last post was in york) and it was reduced twice so HAPPY TIMES. I love the print, i love the colours coming through, I love how each one was different and it took me so long to pick the one I wanted! I think this bag was made for me to pick it up! I could honestly just admire it for hours!

Also, I was dying for a pair of heels I could easily wear through the day/night! And i found my perfect pair half price (£35) I thought they might be uncomfortable as I'm usually allergic to anything that does not have a platform but the chunky heel sorts that problem out!

Today Im Wearing: Top: Vintage Scarf: Vivienne Westwood (SALE) CArdigan: TKMAXX Skirt: Topshop (SALE) Shoes: Topshop (SALE) P.s ignore my tired miserable face result of no sleep and stress. So its still cold but I LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING. I HAVE BOUGHT HALF MY SPRING WARDROBE ALREADY. BUT I CANT WEAR IT ALL YET :( Plenty of blue green leather prints all sorts :D I always get excited when new season comes, when winter comes round I usually say I prefer winter fashion but it's LIES. I want to be on a beauitful city break wearing S/S clothes and NO TIGHTS. I'm thinking venice. But i probably will and freeze doing it :) Until then <3

York

Hello! My look today is from my lovely little trip to Yorkshire, I did plenty of walking (shopping) eating and drinking coffee. We managed to catch our train (just) at half seven and got a late train back at quater past 9!

It's a little blurry but I love train station photographs, I love them when they're busy, its a much more effective photo that way. Anyways I thought this was pretty, this was took at nearly 9AM and its not properly light yet!

The weather was a nightmare to deal with this day, I remember I had to keep sheltering my bag from the rain (lime green lambskin doesnt deal with it.) Countless umbrella-inside-out moments and cold feet :(

My Outfit
Dress: ASOS Sale
Cardi: TK Maxx
Bag: Mulberry (York outlet naturally)
Shoes: Topshop

It was lovely nevertheless! These photographs were taken on Shambles, the most picturesque street in Europe! (Although I'm sure the bf said it was the most visited or something!) Anyways, it is so pretty, I love cobbled streets (does anyone else like the clippy cloppy sound shoes make on them too) so what better place for a shot!

I think I need more shirts ( or shirt dresses) in my life like this one! As you know im loving blues but I think its safe to say anything that is green/blue/yellow/orange or nude is mine this season.

Now, I know I need to show you my new Mulberry, I promise the post will come soon, I need good photos and I can't get them as I havent had a day off in a while and I need the natural light! ( me no likey flash)

Will keep you updated!

Technologic

Happy new year! This is the first chance I've had to do a post, sorry it's not so prompt as I hoped, but I've got plenty things lined up! I've had my trip to Mulberry outlet in york, they had no iPad cases unfortunately and I was a little naughty (and got a bag, post will follow soon)

My look today is a Jonathan Saunders long tee, I love the digital print on this, it is a sort of tribal mix but still feels very futuristic. The colour story inside it is beautiful, I'm a fan of all sort of shades of blues and greens atm. I got this top from Yoox.com in the sale (£29) which is amazing for designer. I paired this with a mint green boyfriend cardigan, my colour for Spring/Summer has definitely GOT to be mint green. I'm thinking I need one of everything in it. Even better if it's made out of leather.

This is one of many inspirational images from Etsy, the soap looks good enough to eat! See the exact item here,
My cardi is merino wool and from one of my favourite shops ever, Tk Maxx at £25 it is a much needed staple in my wardrobe (and no doubt will be over used in spring)

My pumps are Vivienne Westwood/ Melissa. I love nude flats and I wish I could own every pair in the world, they go with everything and are too useful. These ones are plastic and smell so sweet, I got them on my uniform so were discounted anyways ^.^

Jewellery
Watch: Michael Kors
Ring: Dannijo

At the moment im wearing this top as a dress because its thick enough but I'm looking for more inventive ways to wear it ( not just with jeans etc, tucked into skirts) So if anyone has any inspiring outfit ideas PLEASE leave a comment, again don't forget to leave your blogs and I'll write back.

I don't know about you but I'm getting so exciting for SPRING, bring on the colour!

Next post on York trip soon!
